Imagine that you go to this school, after reading as much as you can about what awaits you, and a talking hat sort you into Slytherin dormitory with pureblood snobs who all believe that you come from a wizarding family, you is inserted in the world and maybe even standing on the side of darkness, waiting to join the remnant group of faithful supporters of the once-powerful autocrat of Lord Voldemort. Imagine this, and you understand how Ivory feel when she is thrown into the wizarding world without warning, and how she was then, when her secret, that was never meant to be a secret, spreads, becomes ostracized, bullied and harassed.

Chapter 1.

"Ivy!"
I ignored mother's voice from the stairs and continued to read without interruption.
"Ivory, I have told you that you must stop isolating yourself like this all the time, I know you can hear me so just give up sweatheart"
I heard mom's footsteps on the stairs and then the wind when the door slid open. Supplied I sighed and turned the corner on the side while I finished reading page. Demonstratively I slowly closed the book and looked up at mom who patiently stood leaning against the door frame in the doorway.
"Yes? What is it, that's so important that you go all the way up all the stairs and into my room?"
Mom shook irritated but the smiling on her head and held out a tan letter.
"An ancient water-damaged letter? Wow, impressive mother, very important and crucial. Is there confirmation that you had given me away to an orphanage that will use me as a slave, and ..."
"Ivy provide you with that stuff! You know I would never do such a thing there against you, you are all I have, and I ..."
"Love me above all else and would do anything for me and blah blah blah ..... I've heard it a number of times now and I'm not deaf, even if you seem to believe it. What is it that's so important with that damn letter?
Mom sighed and shook Supplied head.
"I have not opened it yet darling, it's addressed to you, why would I otherwise 'walk up all the stairs to leave an ancient and water damaged letter" she quoted me and smiled.
I rolled my eyes and opened the book again.
Mom sighed and walked the five measly steps that separated us and put the damned letter on the edge of the bed.
"Work on the attitude Ivy, kindness lasts longer"
I sighed loudly and turned around in bed. At last mom left the room and I threw a grim glance at the ugly letter as low and muddied my sheets. What was it that was so incredibly important with a small letter?
