Hogwarts 1985/86 [ENG]

Chapter 4 – The reason
“Alice! Alice? ALICE!” Alice blinked, her sister was standing in front of her screaming at her.
“What is wrong with you?” Jenni continued.
“Nothing…” Alice answered. Jenni turned around and marched out of the room. Alice followed her to the door, then closed it and went back into the room. She sat down on her bed. This was the first time in many years she had thought about that boy. The thought made her sad and full of regret. She lay down on the bed and went back to that moment in the Great Hall. With her mind focusing on her memory she put the present time a side.
The boy jumped sadly off the chair and went to the Slytherin table. Everyone applaud and smiled everyone except Alice and the boy.
When all the first years had been sorted Alice had gotten a bunch of new friends. She loved this house. Everyone was just like her and these years at Hogwarts were going to be the best in her life. She was sure of it.
Days went on and she travelled around the castle with her friends from the Ravenclaw house. Lately she had begun to talk with a few students from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff as well. She didn’t know why but no one from the Slytherin house seemed to want to talk to any students from the other houses. It was very confusing to her but apparently that was just how they were a few of the elder students had told her. Sometimes she saw the boy. In the beginning she had smiled to him, sometimes said hi and made an effort to talk. But every time she had been rejected, like it wasn’t cool for a Slytherin student to talk to a Ravenclaw.
Once she had been in the library doing homework for transfiguration. She was almost done when someone sat down beside her and a familiar voice said:
“Can I sit here?” Alice looked up to her left and saw him. Once again, the boy.
“Thought you were too cool for hanging with us non-Slytherin.” She said, surprised about how unpleasant she sounded.
“Yeah… sorry about that.” Alice looked him in the eyes and actually saw that he was sorry. He continued: “I don’t know what I was thinking. All the other kids seemed to be so proud and happy to be in Slytherin, me not so much. I’m guessing I just wanted to fit in. They are all talking about how their families have been in Slytherin for ages and so on. I’m the only one who grown up like a muggle. Since none of them seemed to like the other houses I thought that… if I too just ignore everyone else they think I’m just like them. “Alice looked at him. Not happy at all.
“So that’s why you’ve been ignoring me, pushing my friends into the walls, knocking books out of their arms, just do you can be like the rest? That doesn’t seem like the boy I knew.”
“Once again, I’m sorry.” There was a quiet moment; none of them said anything they were just sitting. Him looking at her, she was looking straight forward.
“Transfiguration, right?” he said, a smile on his face. Alice looked at him once more, couldn’t help but to smile to and answered:
“Yeah”
After that day in the library they met more and more often, but only alone. It wasn’t that he ignored her when he was with his friends or she was with hers, it was only that he wasn’t there. Although as fast as she was alone, he was there and they could talk for hours.
It went colder and colder and one morning Alice and the other girls in her dormitory woke up to a cold morning and big snowflakes dangling from the sky. They all hurried to the window and stood there, a long time. Alice had just days before grown very close to a girl named Julie. When all the other girls were getting dressed, combed their hair and got ready to go for breakfast they sat in the window, just looking out over the white winter landscape that was now the sign for Christmas.

Chapter 5 – A New Face
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Julie whispered.
“Yeah…” Alice had been staring out the window for a long time now, the only thing on her mind; the boy. Julie got up and went to one of the mirrors. The next time Alice turned around Julie was fully dressed in her Ravenclaw robe. Knowing her friend was waiting for her she, as well, got dressed and they walked down the stairs to the common room. There were first years at every window. Some of the older students sat in chairs in front of the fireplace. The oldest students were nowhere to be seen. They were probably still in their beds, it was Saturday.
The two girls went out to the main corridors and made their way down to the great hall. It was a bit cold and on their way down the last stair three Gryffindorers came running down the stair in only their pajamas. One of the three boys, the red haired one, waved his wand behind him.
“Bill! That’s called cheating” one of the other two boys had fallen forward and face planted on the cold floor. The red haired, apparently called Bill and the third boy were laughing out loud. Julie and Alice couldn’t help but giggle a bit. The boy got up from the floor and followed his friends into the Great Hall, Alice and Julie followed.
The moment they walked through the big door it got so much warmer. The hall was decorated with all kinds of Christmas decoration and the five tables were full of something that looked like a very good breakfast. They sat down at their Ravenclaw table and started eating. As the time went on, more and more students were coming through the massive gate.
Julie and a second year boy were talking about intensively about something. Alice sat quiet and was thinking about getting up and go to the library. She knocked on Julies shoulder and said:
“I’m going to the library. See you in the common room later.” Julie nodded and Alice walked out of the great hall.
She walked down the almost empty corridors; everyone who wasn’t at breakfast was still asleep. She turned at a corner and next second she was on the floor.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! Are you okay?” A voice she did not recon. She looked up and saw a kind of familiar face.
“I’m okay.” She answered and got up looking the red haired boy she saw earlier this morning.
“You’re a first year, right?” Alice nodded. “Me too! I’m Bill Weasley.” The boy stretched out his hand towards Alice. Alice took it, shook it and said:
“Nice to meet you. I’m Alice Bunker.” They both smiled and then said goodbye.
Alice had time to take three steps until she got interrupted.
“Hey! Are you staying for the holiday?” Alice turned around and saw Bill looking at her. She laughed and said:
“Yeah, are you?” He nodded and said:
“Great.” He smiled and turned around, so did Alice. She continued to the library. When she arrived to the door leading in to the gigantic library she tried to open it, but it was locked. She sighed and looked around for someone. In the corner she saw a book. She picked it up and looked at it. It was a brown leather front cover, but nothing was written on it. She opened it up and the book was full of notes. She read through it, trying to find something that would tell her who the book belonged to, but nothing. After looking through it she put it back in the corner, thinking the person who owned the book probably was looking for it and perhaps would go back to places he or she might have been to.
Her plan to spend the rest of the morning in the library wasn’t going to happen. She instead took a walk around the castle.
