11. A trap

Sirius Black stood, indeed, at the end of the staircase. He was leaning his back against the wall and his head was lowered, looking as though he was deep in thought. He gave a start when Lily came storming past him and ran up with her, reaching out to stop her. He got hold of her arm and Lily spun around to face him.

“I don't want to talk to you”, she hissed through gritted teeth and tried to snatch her arm away, but his grip was too tight.

“I don't care, we need to talk”, Sirius said sternly.

“There's nothing to talk about. What we did-” Lily lowered her voice with a quick glance over her shoulder. “What we did is wrong, even disgusting, and I don't want anything to do with you ever again.”

“You're right. I shouldn't have taken advantage of you like that, but you can't just go around and pretend like it never happened!”

“Watch me!” Lily snapped and tried to walk away again, but Sirius wouldn't budge.

“Let go of me, Black! Before I hex your ass into oblivion!” she snapped, a little too loud. Both their eyes shifted towards the younger students in the room that had started to take an interest in their conversation.

“You're starting to make a scene, Lils, watch out; people may get ideas”, Sirius said.

“You wouldn't tell anyone”, Lily said, narrowing her eyes at him. “James would never forgive you, you know that!”

“Try me”, Sirius retorted threateningly.

Lily stared into those bottomless eyes for a few moments and then sighed. “Fine! We'll talk, but then you have to promise you'll leave me alone.”

“If that's what you want, I'll pretend I don't know your first name”, Sirius said, gesturing towards the boys dormitories. “C’mon, everyone is at the ball, we can talk undisturbed in our dorm.”

Lily looked over at the spiral staircase and then at Sirius again, her lips pursed in disapproval.

“Got a better idea?” Sirius asked, eyebrow raised.

Lily let out a sigh and reluctantly set of up the steps, with Sirius close behind. As soon as she set foot in the room she turned to face him, hand on her hip and an urging expression on her face. “Shoot”, she said impatiently.

Sirius carefully closed the door behind him and leaned his back against it, folding his arms over his muscular chest. Lily felt disgusted with herself for feeling attracted to him and turned away her gaze.

“If you don't spit it out within three seconds I’ll leave. One”, she said and Sirius sighed, scratching his neck uneasily. “Two.”

“Thr—“

“Ican’tstopthinkingofyou!”

Lily frowned. “What?”

Sirius sighed and took a step closer to her, keeping a steady stare at Lily with a serious expression on his face. She'd never seen him this serious and it made her really nervous.

“I can't stop thinking about you... It’s driving me CRAZY!” he snapped and reached out knocking down a few books from the shelf on the wall. Lily winced as they hit the ground with a loud thud. Sirius took a deep breath, running his fingers through his hair.

“What are you saying, Sirius?” she asked in a small voice, afraid to hear the answer.

“I don't know”, Sirius said and the honesty in his face almost knocked her over. “I'm confused... I mean, you're pregnant with my best friends kid for Merlin's sake! But still- still I can't stop thinking about...” Sirius gulped - as if he was nervous.

“Thinking about what?” Lily asked, gazing into his eyes.

“Doing this”, Sirius said, smashing his lips to hers. Before Lily managed to push him off and slap his face, the dormitory door opened and James appeared on the threshold.

Lily immediately backed off, increasing the distance between them.

“Lily? Sirius?” James asked, a shocked and confused expression on his face as his eyes darted between the two of them.

“James I...”, Lily began not knowing what to say. They weren't a couple so it really wasn't she that should do the explaining. She turned away her head and caught sight of the map lying on Sirius bed. Lily gasped, feeling stupid and used.

“You knew he was on his way up here!” she snapped at him.

När kommer nästa del?

Jag har faktiskt ingen aning, jag har inte börjat skriva på den än och med tanke på att jag har påbörjat en annan fan fiction nu också, lär det ta liiite längre tid än innan (även eftersom skolan börjar igen på tisdag). Men ska försöka ha onsdag som deadline (; Tack!
